Sections, Notes and More

I think I’m slowly figuring out the final look and feel for Focused. Both the sidebar headers, that is areas, and section headers in the list got a more refined look, and buttons to make it more obvious they can be collapsed, and have a menu attached.

Aside from the design changes, version 1.11 allows more flexibility in how you can use the app.

  • Custom Sections within projects, areas or tags allow you to organise tasks even more. They even show a small progress bar as separator in lists to tell you have far along you are.
  • You can now add notes to projects, areas and tags as well. They’re displayed at the top of the list, if you’re viewing the tasks of that element.
  • You can now assign tags to projects, areas and sections, they’re automatically applied to all contained tasks.
  • You can now mark projects as completed, and archive them. Just like with sections, there’s now an option to show the project’s progress instead of the icon in the sidebar.

With all of those options, the “organising” part of the app is probably feature complete now. Next up are UI improvements, like multi section and inline editing.
