The first feature update this year, Task Focus 2.1.0, brings a couple of changes to the calendar mode, an improved day view and support for undo/redo including a Trash bin.
Calendar Changes
The “Calendar” entry in the sidebar has been replaced with a very similar, but different “Planned” entry. The Planned View now simply shows all planned tasks, just like the Next view shows all next tasks, making the behaviour more consistent.
It is no longer a special view mode, because now every list can now be views as calendar, kanban or simple list. Viewing the planned tasks in calendar mode gives you the same view as the old calendar view, but now you can choose to view the planned tasks as a list as well – or to view any list or project in calendar form.
And additionally, the tag filter bar is now also available when viewing tasks in calendar mode.
Updated Day View
I’ve also redesigned the “Day” view, when viewing a list as calendar, and adding optional time and duration properties to tasks. This allows to visually plan out the tasks throughout the day when you need it, while still giving you the regular lists when you don’t.

It is also useful to assign durations, because lists and kanban boards can be sorted by duration, to easily get all the small tasks out of the way first.
Trash and Undo/Redo
Finally the Task Focus now supports undo/redo – which was annoyingly absent so far – and has a Trash bin, allowing you to restore deleted tasks if you accidentally deleted something.
You can download the Task Focus 2.1.0 immediately on the App Store, with automatic updates rolling out over the next 7 days.
