New Task Improvements

Task Focus 2.2.0 is now out, with a couple of improvements to how new tasks are added, and how Apple Reminders can be imported.

With this update, I’m pretty much done with the features I had planned for Task Focus this year. We’ll see if anything else comes up, but for now I’m going to focus on other apps for the rest of the year.

Inline Adding Task

First, adding new tasks no longer opens the modal new task view, but simply adds the new task inline and allows typing your task – although the previous behaviour can be restored by disabling inline editing in settings.

Additionally, on iOS, the plus button can now be dragged into any section or to any project to quickly create a task there.

Apple Reminders

Task Focus could already show your Apple Reminders directly in the Inbox view and import them individually or all at once.

Now it’s possible to view a Reminder in the detailed edit view to modifiy some properties before importing, dragging them to one of your projects or areas to immediately import and assign them, or to select only some of the reminders to import
