Task Focus 2.3.0 is now available with an improved Search Interface and custom tag shortcuts.

Search Overlay

The new search is available on macOS, iOS and iPadOS. On the bigger devices it now appears as an overlay, while on iPhones the same results are displayed directly inline in the main view.

The search overlay can find tasks, projects, areas, tags, locations and take you directly there, as you’d expect. I can even find some otherwise not accessible filters like all repeating tasks, all minor tasks and so forth.

Additionally you can trigger some actions directly from the search view, almost like some kind of launcher, but just for Task Focus. Right now, this means primarily that you can set or clear the area focus quickly, but I think I’m going to add more actions over time.

Tag Shortcuts

As a little bonus feature, you can now assign custom keyboard shortcuts to tags, and with ctrl + your selected key quickly assign the tag to the current selection. Neat!
